Moby Dick

Today, Mom and I went to the Dallas Opera House to watch a special performance of Moby Dick with several students from my Gifted and Talented Language Arts class. This picture is of me and my teacher, Ms. Barta. She is the greatest teacher ever and should be teaching college, not high school...but that's another story. Anyways the performance was amazing. Each person's voice blew me away with it's strength and talent. The show was well put together, and had many amazing special effects. They must of had a huge projector, because I could see the ocean and storms reflected onto the stage during the scenes. It was so cool! The set was awesome too! I felt like I was on the boat myself hunting down the great white Moby Dick! It was a great experience for me, and I enjoyed the outing with my mom:)

Brendan's Trip to Ellis Island

(Brendan and our neighbor wait for the bus dressed up as immigrants for their trip to Ellis Island.) Because they learned about it in school, the 1st graders had the opportunity to pretend to be immigrants and travel to Ellis Island. Brendan was from Ireland, and Mom volunteered as a guard. It was a very fun day!

Liam's 1st Wrestling Match

This is Liam (green) killing his opponet in his first wrestling match for 7th and 8th graders in the district. He did very well, and learned a lot. We are all very proud of him!
These are his #1 fans!!!

Sean's Birthday

Sean Patrick Olohan turned four years old on April 18th and was so excited!!! Sean loves attention, so he was thrilled when he realized that the spotlight was on him for the entire day:)
